Cascade Chute Out – ProRodeo Returns to Central Oregon September 15-19, 2020

ProRodeo on the High Desert in 2020 after all!

Deschutes County Fair & Expo   |   September 15-19, 2020

ProRodeo returns to Central Oregon!

Bridwell Pro Rodeos, Four Star Rodeo and Corey and Lange deliver a week's worth of Professional Rodeo this September 15-19, 2020 at the Deschutes County Fair & Expo's Juniper Arena.  Each performance will feature top quality livestock animal athletes in the heart of Central Oregon.  At least 15 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo animals compete in a team challenge that puts both stock contractors and the Central Oregon ProRodeos they serve into a head-to-head competition.

Competition within the Competition

The High Desert Stampede, Sisters Rodeo and Crooked River Roundup committees have joined Bridwell Pro Rodeos and the Deschutes County Fair and Expo to support and encourage rodeo's survival.  A united team of volunteers and fans are encouraged to come out strong as 100% of the net proceeds of the 2020 Papé Cascade Chute Out presented by Central Oregon Heating, Cooling & Plumbing benefit our stock contractors.  Rodeo and the western way of life are important to our communities and our heritage.  We believe the cowboys and cowgirls, contract personnel and our stock contractors deserve this opportunity to work for their living.  We believe y'all are hungry from some rodeo too!

COVID-19 Safety Planning & Responsible Event Management

In cooperation with the Oregon Health Authority, Deschutes County Public Health, and Deschutes County Commissioners, the Deschutes County Fair & Expo Center has taken steps to mitigate risk of transmission and to exceed mandated social distancing requirements.  Facilitating a safe event in an ethical and responsible manner is our highest priority.  While our event plan is extensive and still being drafted and refined, you can expect at least the following:

  • Separate dispersed parking areas, entrances and seating areas will be setup and enforced.
  • Use of a face covering is required at all times while on the Deschutes County Fair & Expo grounds unless actively eating or drinking.
  • Social Distancing will be expected and enforced throughout the fairgrounds at all times.
  • Hand washing and sanitizing stations above and beyond the normal number available.
  • Rodeo activities will be governed under the guidelines set forth by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA).

As mandates, orders and recommendations change frequently, we continue to revise and refine our plan and work to conduct the safest event possible.  Please check back here for the latest updates or follow us on Facebook as we will publish updates regularly there.

We couldn't do any of this without our partnership with the Deschutes County Fair & Expo Center
